More Recurring Themes

I just had a car battery die - the third one in six years.

I also had another wireless router die - the fourth in six years?

I know the climate here is rough on electronics, but this is ridiculous.

MDdC! My laptop died too, a victim of sea air they claim, and right after that the tv. Bummer.

A friend of mine had a number of computer problems, also related to sea air, and she resolved it by leaving the computer on all the time. Don't think it was a laptop though...

Mine was on practically all the time, and I thought maybe that was part of the problem. I'm not sure that there is a solution. One thing I've heard is to keep things covered, but haven't had that confirmed by an expert.

Hmm my guess would be covering electronics is not good, at least when they are on. The things need to ventilate after all. I think you are right, there probably isn't much of a solution.
